With Ginseng Unt Honey

Arizona green tea is perhaps my favorite drink ever, and I'm rightfully ashamed to admit it.

I mean look at the stuff! It's just sugar water barely embittered by some freaky asian leaf!

Shall we look at the ingredients? Let's, just for fun.

INGREDIENTS: PREMIUM BREWED GREEN TEA
USING FILTERED WATER, HIGH FRUCTOSE
CORN SYRUP (GLUCOSE-FRUCTOSE SYRUP),
HONEY, CITRIC ACID, NATURAL FLAVORS,
GINSENG EXTRACT, ASCORBIC ACID (VITAMIN C),

Okay, sure. So those are the ingredients. Notice that ginseng is listed penultimately.
That means there's almost no ginseng to speak of.

And yet the label has 'GINSENG' in really big letters just above the slightly less exciting phrase "and HONEY".

My guess is that it's to attract psychotic alternative medicine fanatics.

Not that ginseng isn't potent stuff. Too much of it can give you a dry mouth and lips, and could also cause excitation, fidgeting, irritability, tremor, palpitations, blurred vision, headache, insomnia, increased body temperature, increased blood pressure, edema, decreased appetite, increased sexual desire, dizziness, itching, eczema, early morning diarrhea, bleeding, and fatigue.

That list is from Wikipedia by the way. But no links allowed remember?

Anyway, the overarching idea is that it's probably the ginseng that's hooked me on these dreaded green cans. Oh, the humanity! D:
